CalComp Data LLC ("CalComp Data," "we," "our") provides data infrastructure services for California compensation consulting firms. This policy describes how we handle information in connection with our website and API services.

Data We Provide

All compensation data served through our API originates from public government sources (California State Controller, CalPERS, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and other public agencies). This data is publicly available and does not constitute private information.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, firm name via contact forms), API usage logs (endpoints called, timestamps, API key identifier), and standard web analytics (page views, browser type). We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses essential cookies for basic functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. API requests are logged for rate limiting, security, and usage analytics.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for the duration of the business relationship. API usage logs are retained for 12 months. Account information is retained until the subscriber requests deletion or the subscription terminates.

Data Security

Our infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services (us-west-2 region). Data is encrypted in transit via TLS and at rest via AES-256. API access requires authenticated API keys with rate limiting and audit logging.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (1) know what personal information we collect and how it is used, (2) request deletion of your personal information, (3) opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share personal information), and (4) not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
